Our Philosophy
At Manhattan Madness, we believe that basketball is more than just a game. It is a way of life. That's why we are committed to providing basketball players with the best possible high-stakes competition. We believe that every player, regardless of skill level, should have this access to play the game for prizes amongst their fellow peers across the city.
What to Expect
We are offering a fun, competitive fully planned out basketball tournament to allow teens across the city to engage in high-level competition and win prizes for their competitive and skillful output on the court. By paying an entry fee to join the tournament, you will be able to compete amongst many other boys across the city for high cash prizes in a tournament-style basketball competition.
All participants must pay $15 per person. Cash will be redistributed to players based on placement.
General Information
This tournament is open to all skill levels of players from any grade. You can invite kids from outside of school to join too. Please encourage others to join! Just add them to the group chat once you join. Additionally, we welcome any feedback or suggestions you may have to enhance the tournament experience. Your input is valuable as we strive to make this event as enjoyable and inclusive as possible. The more participants who join, the higher the prize of cash will be for top teams. About NYC Basketball Tournaments
Rules
- Games will be played in a 2v2 format: half-court.
- Each game will be played up to 11 points, with all scoring counted as singles.
- Teams will have to call their own fouls and keep their score. Please be a good sport and honest when making calls and keeping track of scores. There are no free throws on fouls, games will follow streetball rules.
- To enter this tournament you must put in $15 per person. Don’t worry, money will be distributed across prizes for the top teams.
- Prizes will be rewarded. Prizes will be determined based on how many participants we get, but you can assume 70% of the cash pool obtained from the number of opponents will be handed out as prizes.
- Every team will play 4 games against other teams, then whoever has the best record will then compete in the finals for the first place and second place prize, which will be a sum of money. (If there is a tie in record from the 4 games, the tied teams will play each other for a spot in the finals).
